About the Speaker:

With a doctoral degree from the School of Law of Jilin University, Professor Wei Liu, master’s supervisor, is currently the deputy dean of the School of Law of Guangdong University of Finance and Economics and the director of the Master of Laws Education Center. She is also a member of Jurisprudence Research Council of Guangdong Province Law Society, a member of the Japan Society of Modern Chinese Law, Japan, and a visiting scholar at Hokkaido University in Japan.

Liu primarily focuses on the instruction and research within the realms of legal sociology, artificial intelligence law, and legal professional ethics. She has authored over 20 scholarly articles across various prestigious journals such as Seeker, Nomocracy Forum, and the Journal of Jishou University Social Science Edition, among others. In addition to her articles, Liu has also contributed to 3 academic monographs or co-authored books. Besides, she has edited or co-edited 4 textbooks. As for projects, she has presided over or participated in more than 10 provincial and ministerial level projects, and 6 horizontal research projects.
