On the occasion of the 47th Tree-Planting Day, the School of International Education and the School of Foreign Languages joined hands to hold a tree-planting activity themed "Youth in Action for Green Guangdong" in Chakeng Village, Xinhui District, Jiangmen, on the morning of March 9th.

Under the warm spring sunshine, faculty and students gathered in Chakeng Village with great enthusiasm. They wielded shovels to dig and fill soil, steadied the saplings, and watered them, working together to plant saplings filled with hope and adding a touch of vitality to the green mountains and clear waters of the hometown of overseas Chinese. While planting trees, everyone worked in perfect harmony, fostering a strong responsibility of ecological civilization and fulfilling the youthful pledge of "Youth Leading the Way for a Green and Beautiful Guangdong."

This activity, through the mechanism of "labor education + ecological aesthetic education," allowed young students to temper their character through labor and to gain growth through dedication. The students not only experienced the joy of labor but also profoundly felt the vibrant energy of spring. While steadying the saplings and watering them, the students deepened their friendships and reached a consensus. This "youth greenery," nurtured by the sweat of the young people, is now, with the growth rings as its measure, adding a poetic touch to the sustainable future development of the hometown of overseas Chinese.
