On October 30th, a delegation from the University of Portsmouth visited the School of International Education and held a pre-admission letter award ceremony, including Bobby Mehta, Vice-Chancellor; Wendy Wang, Head of Global Partnerships; Tana Ai, Marketing and Recruitment Manager for South China; and David Smith, former Vice Dean of the School of Business and Law. Staff from the International Exchange and Cooperation Office and the School of International Education, as well as all students of the class of 2024 from the Computer Science and Technology major, participated in the event.
During the ceremony, Bobby Mehta introduced the University of Portsmouth's high-quality teaching environment, strong faculty, and the broad prospects of the computer science major. He emphasized that the Sino-foreign joint training program provides students with opportunities to interact with peers from diverse national and cultural backgrounds, which helps to expand their international horizons and enhance their cross-cultural communication skills. He looked forward to meeting the students on the campus of the University of Portsmouth soon.

Subsequently, he personally awarded pre-admission letters to the students of the class of 2024 from the Computer Science and Technology major at the School of International Education. This act was not only an affirmation and encouragement of the students' hard work and pursuit of academic excellence but also carried the university's best wishes and deep expectations for the students' growth and success in their overseas studies. Student representatives presented flowers to Vice-Chancellor Bobby Mehta, expressing their sincere welcome and gratitude to the delegation.

This event provided students with the opportunity to engage in face-to-face communication with teachers from partner institutions, allowing them to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the Sino-foreign joint training program and further strengthening their confidence in studying abroad.

The "2+2" Sino-foreign joint program at Wuyi University is a program that leverages the university's strengths to collaborate with renowned foreign institutions, adopting a system of mutual credit recognition and joint degree conferment. The University of Portsmouth is one of the partner institutions of the university's "2+2" programs. As a public university, a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities and a member of the European University Association, it is one of the large universities in the UK.
