Delegation from Victoria University, Australia visit to Advance the "2+2" Joint Program

On October 17th, a delegation from Victoria University, Australia visited our instititution to further advance the "2+2" joint program, Among them are Assefa Kassa Teshome, Senior Lecturer and Head of Information Technology Courses in the undergraduate Cyber Security program; and Luo Yuhao, Regional Recruitment Manager. Vice Dean Sun Ya, Party Committee Deputy Secretary Wu Xiaoxia, Vice Dean Wei Wen, and Hong Zhiyong, Vice Dean of the School of Electronics and Information Engineering, attended the symposium.

At the meeting, Sun Ya extended a warm welcome to the delegation from Victoria University and introduced the enrollment, faculty, teaching resources, and future plans related to our "2+2" joint program.Assefa Kassa Teshome introduced the construction of the undergraduate program in Information Technology and Network Security at Victoria University, and provided a detailed explanation of the curriculum settings for the four major directions. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on the joint training program, including curriculum settings for related majors, student academic guidance, and employment prospects in Australia.

Subsequently, the college organized a promotional meeting for the "2+2" joint program for the Computer Science and Technology major of the class of 2024. Luo Yuhao detailed the admission requirements, teaching characteristics, and scholarship settings of Victoria University, while Dr. Assefa explained the learning requirements for the major courses, pathways for further studies, and the advantages of internships and employment. Students engaged in an interactive Q&A session with the teachers on topics such as curriculum settings, campus life, and practical internships, creating a lively and harmonious atmosphere. The promotional meeting gave students a clearer understanding of the advantages and prospects of overseas study, strengthening their confidence and determination to study hard.
